Transvaginal mesh and bladder sling litigation picking up speed

Numerous women throughout the United States have been the recipient of an implanted vaginal sling that was designed to repair pelvic organ prolapse and/or stress urinary incontinence. The slings and mesh products have been developed and marketed by a number of companies, including Johnson & Johnson. Reports of problems with the mesh and sling devices began pouring in shortly after these products became widely used. Complications may include infection, erosion of the mesh, continued urinary problems, pelvic pain, hardening of the mesh material, and injuries to nearby organs.

Presently, several manufacturers are defending numerous lawsuits filed on behalf of injured women. Some of the litigation has been consolidated into multi district litigation panels, or MDLs. Some of the manufacturers include: Johnson & Johnson; Ethicon, Inc.; Bard Medical; Endo Pharmaceuticals/American Medical Systems; Boston Scientific; and Coloplast.

If you are the recipient of a vaginal mesh and/or bladder sling system, implant, or related device and are experiencing any problems possibly related to your implant then the attorneys of Strong Law Office may be able to assist you in pursuing your potential injury claims relating to the implanted device(es). Contact our office today for a free consultation to inquire about your rights and interests.
