Andrew grew up in a blue collar, union household in Pekin, Illinois. He went to college on a hockey scholarship. During the summers in college, he would work as a laborer including pouring concrete, laying pipe, building demolition and construction, and heavy highway jobs. After graduating from undergrad summa cum laude, Andrew attended Saint Louis University School of Law. He served as a mentor for incoming law students and graduated law school with a Certificate in Labor and Employment Law and concentrations in business corporations and taxation. Andrew also obtained an MBA from Bradley University after law school.
Andrew started his career representing people in workers’ compensation cases. He then went to a regional defense firm and had a varied practice including insurance coverage, premises liability, casualty cases, construction, trucking, and railroad litigation. He then went to an Am Law 100 firm and focused on medical malpractice. After nearly 15 years of defending physicians, nurses, hospitals, railroads, and other Fortune 500 companies, he returned to representing people when he joined Strong Law Offices. Andrew has been published in the National Law Journal, won a Trial Excellence Award in a medical malpractice case, and is a Leading Lawyer in medical malpractice. He has tried numerous cases to jury verdict in Illinois state courts and Federal court. Currently, he focuses on wrongful death, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, FELA railroad workers’ injuries, and other catastrophic injuries.
